Guests' ReviewsWe enjoyed our stay very much. It was a good experience to stay here. Lovely place but a bit disappointing in the entrance to the room as rather uninviting very gloomy. Not as nice as the main hotel area.Could do with a flower arrangement and more pictures to brighten the drab appearance. Also more airing needed as place smell very musty. In dining room at breakfast be nice to have the local strawberry jam instead of packet Heinz. We enjoyed our stay greatly. Staff all fantastic. Thanks. Very nice hotel with lovely room. You are made us very happy with your attention(and with the free upgrading of our room) Maybe during the meals some more variation in music. Mossy forest tour was excellent. I think for the jungle trekking at this hotel it would be a good idea to explain that it is a steep walk.Especially for old people. There was no information on this. Genuinely charming staff from management & waiting staff to the maids and the gardener & guide. A pity that road is noisy, but that is not the fault of the hotel. Thank you for an excellent stay. Warm, friendly atmosphere with many extra touches e.g. fruit in room, welcome drink that has made for a memorable stay.However, we found the mattress too hard. Very knowledgeable and good recommendation of giving good advise to us instead o just following the run of the tour group.Told us to get a whole van which is cheaper. Service is beyond expectation. I missed a lamp on the writing desk and a stronger reading lamp beside the sofa. It is a very nice and warm hotel. We have felt like home here. The staff have been very friendly and helpful at all times. The garden is very beautiful with all the flowers. We might come back some time. Great learning a lot with enjoyment on tour. This place will be treasured in my memory for ever. For sure I will visit it whenever I have the chance even though I am from Saudi Arabia. A trip to The Lakehouse in Cameron Highlands worth it all. Hotel lack some basic facilities like TV, Gym, Air-Cond, Convenience Store & Pool. These are basics that everyone is so used in routine life. The staff members are all wonderful and attentive. Our stay would have been much lesser without him.All the staffs during our stay has been with a smile and without fail they have done that. From restaurant staffs to the chambermaids. The person who have stood out for us was Siva. Siva has been constantly with a huge smile. The Lakehouse would be a lesser place without such smile & service. I was serviced by Mr Param, who has done an excellent job in making me feeling welcome and comfortable . If I would to return to Cameron Highlands, I will surely return to this resort. By the way, all other staff and crews are very courteous as well. Room - change your windows. It is too noisy because off the road. Bathroom- no pressure in the bathtub. No plug in the bathroom. Good place for few days. Lovely hotel, fantastic staff but bed too hard. Just guided jungle trek. Very good. Requirements should be explained more in directory e.g. boots should be recommended. Nice hotel, though prices are so high that it is not interesting to eat at the hotel. The honeymoon suite is located too far away from the main wing. The family suite does not have TV which is recommended to have as Cameron activities ends early. If I had to make one small criticism, it would be that they were almost "TOO" attentive (but that is certainly not a complaint, just an observation). For example, no need to ask about drinks & food so often - would prefer to be left for while to enjoy our meal & drinks. All in all, a fantastic stay. One comment, please- fresh milk would be good in the "Boh Tea" rather than the creamer. Also northing to do with the Lakehouse hotel, but such a pity on walking down to this beautiful lake there is so much rubbish accumulated there. The meals were very well presented and a credit to the chef but govt & service charges raised the prices to an unacceptable level. The rules of long trousers is a little outdated for a holiday destination, making your guests feel uncomfortable and discriminated against. Coming to the Lakehouse Resort for the first time, I feel as if I am at home especially the room is cozy and comfortable. Excellent service. We had a great time in your hotel. The room was outstanding and with much atmosphere. Compliments for the friendliness of the staff and the way they treated our children of 2 and 4 years old. If we come back, we will stay here again. Would strongly suggest you put some nice garden furniture on the lawn behind the house. Arriving early in the afternoon, having nothing to do (no pool, no TV) it would have been nice to at least be able to sit in the garden, reading or whatever. Very nice stay. Thank you. Our strongest memory will be of the very friendly staff. The service was excellent and we were very comfortable at the Lakehouse. Two suggestions which we have are that you should make the bar no smoking. Smokers can use the terrace and you should look again at your wine prices. If the wine had been more reasonably priced we would have bought more bottles. We had a pleasant stay. Also enjoyed the sitting places in the garden and terrace. It was relaxing to have the coffee after dinner at the fireplace. Excellent staff and overall organization. TV set in room would be nice. Clean or upgrade furniture in bar and sitting room is necessary. Overall a lovely stay and if we come to the Highlands we would return and recommend it to friends. Nice fresh flower & fruits.
